Having in mind their desire to organize a high quality event and to provide participants with various opportunities for business partnerships ARILOG’s Board and The Embassy of Belgium, Flanders Investment Trade decided to organize joint events: ARILOG’s Seminar and economic mission – Transport and Logistics.

ARILOG’s Seminar will take place on June 7th, 2011 according to known agenda: presentations, case studies, discussion panels. During the following days, 8th and 9th of June, the Economic Mission Transportation and Logistics organized by Embassy of Belgium will take place. Participation in the economic mission is free of charge (except accommodation) and is open to all Romanian companies operating in transport and logistics. Representatives of local authorities and logistics Flanders companies are expected to attend the event.

This year’s topic concerns debates on the hot subject of this period of time, aiming the tracking measures of operational results and in some cases, measures of operational redesign that companies have adopted, in order to acquire a lean and efficient cost control for coping with a contracted market.

How do we control costs and mostly which are they? Is the cost a known parameter? Do we know the real cost of activities? Is there a coherent system of calculation and cost assignation? How do we create a performing system of cost controlling? What were the solutions adopted by the companies from Romania in order to become more flexible and efficient?

The answers to these questions will come from top players from the logistics market and the retail industry,  from producers and distributors.
